| Is Young Muslim Retreat affiliated with any particular mosque/masjed? | ||
| No.
We are an independently operated organization. Our members as well
as our founders are spread around the state and attend different masjeds. |
||
| Do I have to live in North Carolina to attend the Summer Camps or other YMR functions? | ||
No.
We have had youths from many locations attend our Summer Camps. Some
have travelled from as far south as Georgia. Everyone is welcome! |
||
| Do you have financial assistance for families who cannot afford to send their child to YMR Islamic Summer Camp? | ||
We
do offer financial assistance and we gratefully accept donations from
our sponsors to accomplish this. Donors have the option of specifiying
that they would like their donation to be used to sponsor an individual
child to go to camp. If you would like to donate, please click
here. If you would like to apply for financial assistance please

||
| Can I bring my non-Muslim friend to YMR functions or the Islamic summer camp? | ||
When
we say EVERYONE is welcome, we do mean everyone. Yes you may
certainly bring a non-Muslim friend! Insha'Allah your non-Muslim friend
will have a very positive experience being surrounded with an Islamic
environment and Muslim hospitality - and will take that experience
home. It could have positive reverberations in many settings with
many different groups and we pray that insha'Allah it will bring your
friend closer to Islam as well. |
||
| Do girls have to wear pants to swim? | ||
| Yes. The YMR Dress Code applies to all situations and all activities at the Summer Camp, with the obvious exception of the privacy of the cabin/sleeping area. | ||
