The main purpose of the Islamic Girls’ Camp is to help our young Muslim sisters learn more about Islam and about how they can live a truly Islamic life here in the United States. We aim to do this through lectures and activities that educate and inspire our Muslim youth. At the Girls' Camp, our young sisters benefit from guest speakers who give presentations and lectures that teach and enlighten them about Islam and inspire them to be better Muslims insha’Allah. It is also a place where leadership skills will be learned and practiced to gain better-equipped Muslim leaders for the future of all. In addition to the benefits and the general goals of Islamic camping, the girls’ camp will help our young Muslim sisters plan how to spend their time after the camp, in ways that will benefit them here and in the Hereafter. The sisters
will have a chance to strengthen their bonds, think about the
importance of Islam in their lives, and learn cooperation and
other important social skills that can only be attained when in
a group setting. It will give them a good dose of fun and amusement
that cannot be done in everyday life. Many of our girls who come
to the Camp for the first time have never slept outside their
homes before. This is a unique opportunity for the girls to have
a sleepover in complete safety without the risks many parents
may be concerned about with their daughters sleeping outside the
home.
