FUN DAY IN MAY!
We had a special event on Saturday, May 17, 2008! There was swimming, games, loads of fun!! Everyone had a great time and we hope to do this again soon Insha'Allah! Thank you everyone for coming and a special thanks to the coordinators of this event.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE A SPOTLIGHT SPEAKER?
If you have a meaningful or inspiring message related to Islam, living Islamically in a non-Muslim society, being proud of Islam, or some other relevant topic that you think our readers would like, then please submit it to us. Perhaps you could tell of an experience in your own life that brought you closer to Allah (SWT). We can not guarantee we will use every article sent to us, but we will consider every submission and you will be rewarded by Allah (SWT) for your intention, even if it is not posted on our site. Please begin sending us your own stories and thoughts... NO PLAGIARISM... it must be an original, uncopyrighted submission. It is okay if it has been published previously, so long as you have ownership and permission to use it in this way. It must be at least a page long, please do not send a list of quotes or Hadith. You may of course use quotes and Hadiths in your article, but there must be something original from you in the paper, not just a list of items written by others or drawn from the Qur'an and Hadith. Free Islamic Books
Would you like to have informative Islamic books on various topics sent to your home for free? We are able to extend this offer through the generosity and efforts of the Conveying Islamic Message Society (CIMS) of Egypt. This organization has books available in many languages and will send them at no cost. You may order these free books for yourself or even have them sent to a friend or someone who you know is learning about Islam. Please click here for the request form.
SUNDAY CLASS
Some of our Young Muslim Retreat Mentors are teaching the children and youth on Sundays at the Pakistani Islamic Foundation, in Whitsett, NC. YMR MISSION
Our mission is to Insha'Allah provide our local Muslim children and youth the opportunity to strengthen their bonds within the Muslim community, to learn more about Islam, about themselves, and about how to function as a Muslim and live Islamically in an environment which everyday challenges many of the things we stand for as Muslims. We pray that Insha'Allah our children will grow into positive contributing members of society and that they will educate non-Muslims about the true peaceful and tolerant nature of Islam. We pray that Insha'Allah they will forge friendships with other Muslim children through our summer camps and weekend events that will last a lifetime and beyond.
Our children are a minority in our public schools and many of them have little or no contact with their Muslim peers throughout the school day. YMR is a chance for them to interact with one another, and reinforce each others' values and beliefs as Muslim youth.
Because we are a non-profit organization, we depend on your donations to continue to provide this opportunity for our young Muslim brothers and sisters. Please give generously as you are able.
